Unique Architecture Around The World
September 22nd, 2010If you are a frequent traveler, you have most likely seen unique architecture throughout your travels that have caught your eye. There are several buildings around the world that have been designed to attract the attention of many, and become huge hits among tourists. We have chosen 5, one-of-a-kind pieces of architecture throughout the world that caught our eye. Share with us in the comments if you have seen any of these buildings firsthand!
The Crooked House in Sopot, Poland was built in 2004. Just as it’s name indicates, this attraction appears to be crooked. It has a blue-green shingled roof resembling a dragon. Inside, The Crooked House has stained glass entrances, elevation decors made of stone and sandstone window frames. This popular tourist attraction was built as an extension of a shopping and service center, and is a very popular walking promenade and meeting place in Sopot.
The Longaberger Company is one of America’s premier basket making companies. The founder of The Longaberger Company, Dave Longaberger, decided to design the company’s headquarters to reflect the shape of a basket in order to attract attention to the company. When people first heard about his plans, it was said to be a joke. However, Longaberger went through with his plans and the building was successfully constructed, being completed in 1997. The 7 story building resembles a medium-sized handmade woven basket, The Longaberger Company’s main product

Since almost every city has at least one great tourist spot that attracts millions of people every year, deciding which spots to hit and which spots to skip can be difficult. However, if you are traveling to Chicago, San Antonio or Boston, we have chosen three great tourist attractions that you won’t want to miss. Also, an added extra to traveling to any of these locations is that there is a Courtyard hotel located nearby.
Navy Pier is a huge hit for tourists traveling in the Chicago area. It was originally created for shipping and recreational purposes. By 1995, this tourist spot was redone in order to feature year-round entertainment. Great Performance By John Legend!
September 7th, 2010John Legend just performed at our Lobby replica in Grand Central Terminal and did a great job! The crowd loved him. Legend played one set, which included the songs “Green Light”, “Wake up Everybody” and “Ordinary People.”

John Legend Takes The Stage At Courtyard By Marriott
September 7th, 2010Grammy award-winning artist John Legend will be giving an exclusive performance today at noon inside a replica of the new Courtyard by Marriott lobby. The singer/songwriter’s performance will kick off a two month long initiative designed to bring the new lobby concept to more travelers across the U.S. The ubiquitous brand is unveiling “lobby zones” just like the one built in Grand Central and being constructed in three major U.S. airports in Atlanta, Chicago and Denver on September 15.
