The Battle of The Bistro Soups
October 22nd, 2009
One of the most unique features of Courtyard’s new Refreshing Business lobby is the new food and beverage outlet, The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. It offers our guests a variety of healthy menu options, grab and go items, plus a full bar.
We have a team that works hard to make sure we serve interesting and tasty dishes, and each season we try to change up our menu a little bit to reflect the time of year. We keep many of our main staples, but also try to incorporate some seasonal featured items like soups, salads, sandwiches and bakery items. There is a featured beer and featured Starbucks beverage every season, as well. Since we are in the middle of autumn right now, we are featuring Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer and our bakery item is a low-fat pumpkin muffin.
In a few months, we will change up our menu to feature items typically associated with winter. We’re in the process of finalizing that menu, but want to get your feedback on which soup to feature. Would you like us to offer traditional chicken noodle soup or add a little spice with chicken coconut curry soup? Be sure to leave us a comment and let us know! And stay tuned, we’ll share our selections for winter’s featured items in the coming weeks.
Thanks for helping us keep Courtyard on the go.

Courtyard Launches the Game Day Giveaway!
October 12th, 2009
You might be wondering why we’ve been talking so much about football and James Brown lately. Well, we can finally reveal the reason – our Game Day giveaway! We know that many of our loyal Courtyard guests are fans of American football, and wanted to offer them a little something extra this fall.
Starting now, guests who book a weekend stay at a Courtyard in the U.S. or Canada using promotional code NF2 will receive a $25 gift card that can be used at NFLShop.com or at TicketsNow. This is a great way for fans to put a little extra money toward merchandise from their favorite team or purchase tickets to an upcoming NFL game or any other event. The stay must be booked by November 22, 2009, and completed by December 13, 2009.
On top of that, everyone who stays at a Courtyard in the U.S. or Canada by November 22, 2009, will be automatically entered to win a grand prize trip to meet football broadcaster James Brown on the set of his show in New York. Other prizes include a flat screen TV and Courtyard gift cards.
All of the details are on our site at www.courtyard.com/biggame, including a video post from J.B. himself. And every week, he’ll be checking in with us to offer his thoughts on the past weekend of football, what lies ahead in the coming week’s games and even answers questions from fans submitted via our Twitter feed. Be sure to submit your questions to @courtyardhotels and check back every week to see if J.B. answered yours!
